LANIER SAILING ACADEMY
For over 40 years Lanier Sailing Academy has been teaching the art of sailing while having fun. They recommend a 3-day class for beginners that will qualify you to operate sailboats up to 25 feet on lakes, bays and protected waters. After your initial training they provide a fleet of sailboats to allow you to improve on your newfound skills with you as the skipper, and friends and family as crew. You can either rent a boat or join their sailing club. They also provide advanced training on large cruising sailboats that enable you to fulfill your offshore sailing fantasies. Lanier Sailing Academy provides certifications/curriculums from the American Sailing Association.

WINDSONG SAILING ACADEMY
Windsong offers over a dozen excellent programs consisting of introductory and continuing education courses. Many of these programs can lead to certification from the American Sailing Association (ASA). Each program consists of a ground school, in which students learn theory, and an on-the-water portion where students put the lessons learned into practice. Their programs include: Basic Keelboat Sailing, Coastal Navigation, Basic Coastal Cruising, Advanced Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering and Celestial Navigation. In addition to training and certification, Windsong offers recreation and corporate outings.
